Web Designer Internships
Two non-profit groups in Spokane are looking for websites. You can work remotely, but if possible visiting Spokane once during the semester would be a nice bonus.

1. Spokane Tilth. Spokane Tilth's mission is to promote biologically sound, socially equitable, sustainable agriculture. The focus of the organization is on illuminating the relationship between farmer and the larger community.

what they want:

• membership and meetings info
• INCSAA (Inland Northwest Community Supported Agriculture Association) link w/ list of farms: a list of local farms that Spokane Tilth endorses, including descriptions of each farm's csa weekly deliveries and links to their sites
• mission, goals, etc
• list of Share the Harvest restaurant fundraiser participants
• Chef's open house info
• workshops info
  

2. Vinegar Flats. Spokane’s Vinegar Flats is operated for St. Margaret’s Shelter, a home for destitute women run by Catholic Charities of Spokane. The food the women at the shelter grow goes to residents at the Cathedral Plaza retirement home and to farmers markets in low-income areas.

3. A possible Option #3 (or part of Vinegar Flats), from the client:
"In addition, Vinegar Flats garden has worked hard to improve the South Perry Farmers Market in Spokane because it is located in a low-income neighborhood. By working and improving this market, we are living out our garden's mission of ensuring that everyone has access to healthy food. This farmer's market doesn't have a website, even though it has come a long way in the past few years. So if there is a way to fit in creating a site for the market, we would greatly appreciate it! However, this is not as important as the two other programs above. But, if possible, here is what we would like to see on the farmer's market website:

South Perry Market website, including:

• location and map
• history of market
• list of vendors and their products
• ebt (food stamps) info
